Spectral type M8V. [Fe/H] = -0.08. Dieterich et al. (2021) estimate a mass about 81 ± 10 MJup but subsequent paper of Salama et al. (2021) provides a narrower mass range (13-54 MJup) although labelling component "C" as "B" and vice versa.

GJ 1245 is a triple system made of two low-mass M dwarfs (aA-B = 32 AUs) and an inner unseen object (GJ 1245 C or Ab, spT M8V) straddling or below the hydrogen-deuterium burning limit. Salama et al. (2021) refine the distance of GJ 1245 B from A as 27.38 ± 0.11 AUs.
